Memphis Grizzlies
A professional basketball team, Memphis Grizzlies is based in Memphis, Tennessee. The team was established in 1995 and currently are a member of the Southwest Division of the Western Conference in the National Basketball Association (NBA).
The team was founded as Vancouver Grizzlies and in 2001 it was renamed as Memphis Grizzlies. Tony Barone Sr. is the current head coach of the team. The team finished its first season with the record of 15-67. In 1996, the Grizzlies drafted Shareef Abdur-Rahim with the third pick and also drafted Antonio Daniels in 1997 with the 4th pick.
In 2001, the team shifted to Memphis, TN from Vancouver. The Grizzlies finished their 2005 season with the record of 49-33 and 2006 season with the record of 22-60. The team play their home games at FedExForum in Memphis, Tennessee that is one of the most unique arenas in the NBA. A minor league baseball team, Memphis Redbirds is based in Memphis, Tennessee. The team was founded in 1998 and currently are a member of the Pacific Coast League. Memphis Redbirds are a triple-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals.
The team play their home games at AutoZone Park in Memphis, TN that is known as one of the finest minor league baseball stadiums in the country. The team’s colors are: red, and navy blue. The team is owned and operated by the Memphis Redbirds Baseball Foundation. The Redbirds are the only non profit team to be recognized as a charity by the Internal Revenue Service.

Memphis RiverKings
A professional minor league ice hockey team, Memphis RiverKings is from Memphis, Tennessee. The team was established in 1992. The RiverKings play their home games at DeSoto Civic Center situated in Southaven, Mississippi. The Riverkings are a member of the Central Hockey League (CHL). Memphis Riverkings has won the Ray Miron President's Cup as CHL champions in 2002 and 2003.
